Vocab Premium catches generic intensifier-plus-adjective phrases as you write and suggests precise single-word alternatives that fit the tone, the nuance, and the context.
1983 maps vocabulary as cartography. You browse the word-clusters, learn each word in its context, quiz yourself, and track your mastery over time. The quizzes started with recognition, picking the word that fits a definition. I soon found that recognizing a word is not the same as producing it, so I added quiz types that test recall, giving the word yourself. They have become part of my morning routine, with my morning coffee and LED mask.
